Garland, Texas Police Recover Ford F-350 Pickup with Help from the LoJack® System

We’re not sure what movie the Garland, TX resident in this case were seeing on a recent Sunday evening, but we do know that it was a really scary situation when he discovered his Ford F-350 missing from the theater parking lot. The LoJack® system that was installed when the pickup was purchased improved the storyline by helping local police recover it in less than five hours after activation.

On February 23rd, 2014, the Ford’s owners contacted Garland Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the F-350, which was installed at Texas Motors Ford in Fort Worth, TX.

A short time later, officers with the Garland PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Ford was located on Greenway Drive, where it was found parked and unoccupied in front of a house. The officers got no response after knocking at the home’s front door. The F-350 was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
