Late one Thursday evening, the owner of a GMC Suburban discovered it was missing from his driveway in Cleveland, OH. The LoJack® system that was installed when the SUV was purchased proved its value by helping local police recover it in less than 90 minutes after activation.

On February 27th, 2014, the GMC’s owner contacted the Cleveland Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Suburban, which was installed at Long Cadillac Oldsmobile in Framingham, MA.

A short while later, an officer with the Cleveland PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his cruiser.  The officer located the GMC parked and abandoned on a residential street in Cleveland.  The Suburban was retrieved and soon returned to its very happy owner.
