Getting up in the morning to go to work is tough enough without exiting your home to get in your vehicle and finding it’s not there. This happened recently to a resident of Haddonfield, NJ when her Lexus RX4 was stolen. Thanks to the LoJack® system she had installed when purchasing her SUV, local police recovered it in just over three hours after activation.

On February 21st, 2014, the owner of the Lexus contacted the Haddonfield Police Department to report that her vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the RX4, which was installed at Lexus of Cherry Hill, NJ.

A short time later, a patrol officer from the Gloucester Township PD picked up the homing signals coming from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the Lexus in a shopping mall lot, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged RX4 was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
