It’s hard to imagine waking up in the wee hours of the morning and discovering your vehicle has been stolen. The Oklahoma City, OK residents in this case prepared for this unfortunate event by having the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their 2013 Toyota Camry. Local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered the car quickly and safely.

On February 24th, 2014, the Toyota’s owners contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department to report that their vehicle was missing. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Bob Howard Toyota in Oklahoma City, OK.

A short while later, an officer with the OCPD’s Spring Lake Division picked up the homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car. The officer located the Toyota in the area of NE 26th and Stonewall, where he found it parked and unoccupied in a parking space at an apartment complex. The Camry was in good condition and was soon returned to its relieved owner.
