The owner of a Mazda RX8 was shocked to discover his car stolen from his work parking lot. He was also prepared for this possibility because he had the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his car. With the assistance of LoJack, his local police were able to recover the RX8 in less than a half hour after activation.

Upon discovery of the theft of the Mazda on February 12th, 2014, f the owner called Phoenix Police to report the crime. The stolen vehicle information was then entered into the NCIC police computer. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the RX8, which was installed at Showcase Honda in Phoenix, AZ.

Just a few minutes later, officers with the Phoenix PD began picking up the homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Mazda parked and abandoned in an alley behind a vacant house on East Willetta Street. The RX8 was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
