The LoJack® System Helps New Orleans Police Recover Stolen Toyota RAV4 in One Hour, 20 Minutes

When the New Orleans, LA resident in this case discovered that her Toyota RAV4 had been stolen overnight from her home, she was probably grateful that she had the LoJack® system installed when purchasing her SUV. Thanks to her local police, with help from LoJack, the vehicle was recovered in just 80 minutes after activation.

The owner of the Toyota contacted the New Orleans Police Department on February 1st, 2014, to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the RAV4, which was installed at Toyota of New Orleans, LA, was then automatically activated

A short while later, a NOPD officer picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officer located the Toyota parked and abandoned in a grocery store lot near the riverfront. The RAV4 was in great shape and was soon returned to its happy owner.
