The Seattle, WA residents in this case discovered their Honda Accord missing from their home late one Tuesday morning. Although the victims were sleeping during this incident, the LoJack® system they had installed when purchasing their vehicle was wide awake and ready to be activated. With LoJack’s help, it took local police less than two hours to recover the Accord

On February 11th, 2014, the Honda’s owner contacted the Seattle Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Robertson Honda in North Hollywood, CA.

Less than two hours later, a Seattle PD officer received the homing signal transmitting from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car.  The Honda was located on South Willow Street where it was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owners.
