The LoJack® system is designed to help police recover your stolen car, truck, van or motorcycle quickly. The shorter the time your vehicle is in in the possession of the thief, the less chance there is of major damage happening to it. In this case, a Saab 93 stolen in Seattle, WA, is recovered in just 71 minutes after activation by local law enforcement assisted by LoJack.

On the morning of February 11th, 2014, the owners discovered their car missing from their residence and contacted the Seattle Police Department. Officers entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the 93, which was installed at Miramar Volkswagen-Audi in San Diego, CA.

A short while later, a King County Sheriff’s Office deputy received the homing signal transmitting from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle.  He located the Saab on Stone Avenue North, where it was parked and abandoned behind a home improvement center. The 93 was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owners.
