It’s likely that the last thing this Commerce City, CO resident wanted for Valentine’s Day was to have his Chevrolet Silverado stolen. The LoJack® system helped keep the crime from spoiling his day by helping local police recover his truck quickly, safely, and without damage.

On February 14th, 2014, the Chevy’s owners contacted the Commerce City PD to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Silverado, which was installed at Allen Gwynn Chevrolet in Glendale, CA, was then automatically activated.

Minutes later, officers from several law enforcement agencies (Commerce City, Adams County, Denver, Federal Heights, Westminster, Arvada and Jefferson County) picked up the homing signals from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Chevy in the area of Ash Court and Suarini Blvd. where it was found parked and abandoned by the thieves.  The Silverado was undamaged and was quickly returned to its very happy owners.
