The Ford Expedition in this case was discovered missing at a Greenville, SC auto dealership, just around lunchtime on a recent Thursday. Thanks to the LoJack® system that was installed when the SUV was purchased, police were able to recover it and return it to the dealer quickly and safely.

On February 13th, 2014, the dealership’s owner contacted the Greenville Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their auto dealership. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the SUV was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Ford in a parking lot just south of Greenville. Two subjects jumped from the SUV as police approached. The undamaged Expedition was retrieved and soon returned to the very relieved dealership.
