The owner of a 2012 Lexus IS 250 was returning home at 1:30 am on a Sunday morning. After he parked his car in the driveway and entered his home, he heard it start up behind him and turned to see it take off at a high rate of speed. The LoJack® system he had installed when purchasing his IS 250 just five months ago proved to be a really good investment. His local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered the vehicle in just five hours after activation.

On February 9th, 2014, the owner of the Lexus contacted Atlanta Police to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the NCIC police computer. The LoJack transponder concealed in the IS 250, which was installed at Hennessy Lexus in Atlanta, GA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an Atlanta PD equipped with an onboard LoJack tracking computer began receiving a homing signal coming from the stolen car. The officer located the Lexus in an apartment complex lot, where it was parked and abandoned. The IS 250 was in good condition and was soon returned to its thankful owner.
