The owner of a Honda Accord in Tulsa, OK, got some bad news when he was leaving a health club on a recent Friday morning- his Honda Accord had been stolen from the parking lot. Thanks to the LoJack® system that was installed when the car was purchased, local police were able to recover the vehicle quickly and safely.

On February 7th, 2014, the Honda’s owner reported the incident to the Tulsa Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activates the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Vandergriff Honda in Arlington, TX.

A short while later, an officer with the Tulsa PD’s Mingo Valley Division picked up the homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car. The officer found the Honda parked and unoccupied at an apartment complex on South 89th Street East. The Accord, which was in good condition, was retrieved and soon returned to its owner.
