Sandy Springs, Georgia Police Recover Stolen Dodge Magnum in 61 Minutes with Help from the LoJack® System

The Sandy Springs, GA resident in this case discovered his Dodge Magnum missing from his driveway as he was heading to work just after midnight on a Sunday. The LoJack® system installed when the car was purchased helped local law enforcement recover the vehicle in just over an hour after activation.

On January 5th, 2014, the Dodge’s owner reported the crime to the Sandy Springs Police Dept. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Magnum, which was installed at Hayes Chrysler Plymouth in Buford, GA. vehicle.

A short while later, a Sandy Springs PD officer began receiving the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Dodge was found parked and abandoned behind a building at a shopping center. Police retrieved the Magnum, which was in good condition, and soon returned it to its grateful owner.
