The owner of an Acura Integra parked his car in front of his friend’s Kannapolis, NC home when he spent the night. Imagine his shock when he awoke to find his vehicle gone. Thanks to local police, assisted by the LoJack® system concealed in the car, it was recovered quickly and safely.

On January 8th, 2014, the Acura’s owner reported the crime to the Kannapolis Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This process automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Integra, which was installed at Crown Acura in Greensboro, NC.

A short while later, officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Acura at an apartment complex in South Charlotte, where it was parked and abandoned.  Police retrieved the Integra and soon returned it to its relieved owner.
