This Tucson, AZ resident discovered his 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 missing from his driveway at just a little after midnight one Monday. The LoJack® system the owner had installed when purchasing his pickup proved its value by helping local law enforcement recover the truck in just over two hours after activation.

On January 6th, 2014, the Dodge’s owner called Tucson Police to report the crime. The stolen vehicle information was then entered into the NCIC police computer. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the pickup, which was installed at CarMax in Tucson, AZ.

A short while later, Tucson PD officers began picking up the homing signals from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers observed the Dodge Ram occupied and moving on South Calle Santa Cruz and instigated a traffic stop. The driver was taken into custody. The police retrieved the undamaged Ram and soon returned it to its relieved owner.
