When the owner of a 2011 Lexus LS460 visited a casino in Auburn, WA recently, he probably suspected he might drop some money at the tables or the slot machines, but his real loss came in the parking lot, when he exited the building only to find his car gone. This driver didn’t gamble when he bought his vehicle- he had the LoJack® system installed when he purchased his car,  so local police, with LoJack’s help, were able to recover it, quickly and safely, in less than four hours after activation.

On December 26th, 2013, the owner of the Lexus contacted the Auburn Police Department to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the LS460, which was installed at Lexus of Tacoma in Fife, WA.

Later that morning, a Federal Way PD officer received the homing signal transmitting from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car.  The officer located the Lexus in an apartment complex parking lot on Pacific Highway South, where it was found parked and abandoned. Police retrieved the undamaged LS460 and soon returned it to its grateful owner.
