When a Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen on a late Saturday afternoon near Los Angeles Harbor, its worried owners knew just what to do. Their first call was to local law enforcement to report the theft, so the LoJack® system installed in the SUV could be activated, and the vehicle could be recovered, quickly and safely, later that same day.

On January 4th, 2014 the owners of a Chevrolet Tahoe contacted police to report their vehicle stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Tahoe, which was installed at Community Chevrolet in Burbank, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an officer with the Anaheim PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The Tahoe was located traveling in Norwalk with its license plates removed and dealer plates attached. A traffic stop was performed and the driver arrested. The Tahoe was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owners.
