It was just after midnight on a Sunday morning when the owner of a Mercedes Benz SLK230 noticed it missing from its residential parking spot. Thanks to the excellent work of local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system, the car was recovered in less than four hours after activation.

On January 5th, 2014, the owner of the Mercedes contacted the Tulsa Police Department to report the vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the SLK230, which was installed at Motorwerks of Barrington, IL.

A short while later, an officer with the Tulsa PD Riverside Division picked up the homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol unit. The officer located the Mercedes, parked and unoccupied on E. 71st Street in Tulsa.  The SLK230, which was in excellent condition, was soon returned to its grateful owner.
