Discovering that his 2012 Toyota Corolla had been stolen from his driveway was probably NOT the way this Plainfield, NJ resident wanted to start the New Year.  The LoJack® system he had installed when buying his car proved that it was a great investment by helping local police recover the Corolla quickly and safely.

On January 2nd, 2014, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Plainfield Police Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Corolla, which was installed at Crystal Motors in Greenbrook, NJ.

A short time later, a patrol officer from the Plainfield PD picked up the homing signals coming from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the Toyota at a nearby housing project where it was parked and abandoned. The Corolla was retrieved and soon returned to its thankful owner.
