The LoJack® system is designed to help law enforcement recover stolen cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles quickly and safely. This case involves a Honda CR-V in Phoenix, AZ, that was recovered by police, assisted by LoJack, in less than an hour after activation.

On December 22nd, 2013, the Honda’s owner called police to report the crime. The stolen vehicle information was then entered into the NCIC police computer. The LoJack device concealed in the CR-V, which was installed at Tempe Honda in Tempe, AZ, was then automatically activated.

Just a few minutes later, Phoenix PD officers from the Cactus Park Precinct began picking up the homing signal from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers found the Honda in the parking lot of a motel on North Black Canyon Highway, where it was parked and abandoned.  No suspects were located at the scene and the CR-V was soon returned to its grateful owner.
