It was just before 9 p.m. on a Sunday evening when this Dallas, TX resident was leaving work and discovered his Cadillac CTS was missing from the parking lot.  Although it was late, on a weekend night, his local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system, solved the problem by recovering this victim’s car quickly and safely.

On December 1st, 2013, the Cadillac’s owner contacted the Dallas Police to report that his vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the CTS, which was installed at Crest Auto Group in Plano, TX.

A short while later, a flight crew from the Dallas PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their helicopter. The officers tracked the Cadillac to a motel parking lot, and requested ground assistance. The ground officers obtained security footage showing a suspect parking the Caddy and entering the motel. The suspect was found inside a motel room and was detained by police. The CTS, which was in good condition, was soon returned to its grateful owner.
