San Diego, California Police Recover Stolen Ford Mustang in One Hour, Four Minutes, Assisted by the LoJack® System

The San Diego, CA resident in this case noticed her Ford Mustang missing just after 9 p.m. on a recent Tuesday. The LoJack® system she had installed when buying her car proved what a good investment it was. Local law enforcement, with help from LoJack, was able to recover her Mustang in just over an hour after activation.

On December 10th, 2013, the Ford’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Mustang, which was installed at Mossy Ford in San Diego, CA, was then automatically activated.

In just over an hour later, officers from San Diego PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers found the Ford parked and abandoned in a residential neighborhood. The owner was very happy when San Diego Police contacted her to recover her undamaged Mustang.
