It was right around dinnertime on Christmas Day when this Miami, FL resident discovered his 2010 Toyota Camry was missing from his residence. The LoJack® system he had installed when purchasing his vehicle came to the rescue, assisting local police in recovering his Camry in less than two hours after activation.

On December 25th, 2013, the owner of a 2010 Gold Toyota Camry 4-door sedan discovered their car missing from in front of their home. They contacted the Miami Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. The responding officer prepared a stolen vehicle report and theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Maroone Chevrolet of Pembroke Pines, FL, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Miami-Dade PD officer picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle.  The officer located the Toyota parked and abandoned on N.W. 15th Court. The Camry was recovered and quickly returned to its happy owner.
