The owner of a Suzuki Forenza in Gary, IN, had parked her car on the street in front of her residence in her handicapped parking zone, and woke in the morning to find her vehicle gone. The LoJack® system installed when she purchased her Forenza proved what a good investment it was by assisting local police in recovering the car in just over one hour after activation.

On December 18th, 2013, the Suzuki’s owner contacted the Gary Police Department to report her vehicle stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the LEADS and NCIC state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Forenza, which was installed at Rosen Chevrolet in Gurnee, IL.

A short while later, a police vehicle traveling through Gary picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on its LoJack tracking computer.  Gary Police found the Suzuki in the garage of a vacant building, where it was parked and abandoned.  The undamaged Forenza was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owner.
