The owner of a Scion TC in Linden, NJ got an unwelcome surprise on Christmas Eve when he woke up to discover his vehicle missing from his driveway. It’s a good thing he gave himself the LoJack® system when he purchased his car. With LoJack’s help, his TC was retrieved in less than three hours after activation.

On December 24th, 2013, the Scion’s owner contacted the Linden Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Scion TC, which was installed at Route 1 Toyota in Avenel, NJ.

A short time later, a patrol officer from the Linden PD picked up the homing signals coming from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the Scion and found it parked and abandoned on a street not far from the victim’s home. The undamaged TC was soon returned to its grateful owner.
