Imagine you just got off a ten hour shift, in retail, at holiday time, and you discover your vehicle missing from the store parking lot. This lousy experience happened to the owner of an Acura Integra in Lakewood, CO, recently. The LoJack® system installed in the car helped to set things right. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement retrieved the Integra in just over a half hour after activation.

On December 14th, 2013, the Acura’s owner contacted Lakewood Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Integra.

Within minutes, officers with the Lakewood PD were picking up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers quickly located the Acura near West Mississippi Avenue and South Newland Place, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Integra was promptly returned to the very surprised and happy owner.
