When a Ford F-350 pickup was stolen from a used car dealership in Baltimore County, MD, the owners of the business were grateful for the LoJack® system installed in the truck. With LoJack’s assistance, local law enforcement recovered the vehicle in less than two hours after activation.

On December 2nd, 2013, the dealership’s owners reported the crime to the Baltimore County Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the pickup.

Within a short period of time of the LoJack activation, flight officers in the Baltimore City Aviation Unit ‘Foxtrot’ and detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the homing signals from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their helicopter and patrol vehicles. The Ford was located on Ostend Street, where it was parked and unoccupied. The F-350 was retrieved and soon returned to its grateful owners.
