In this case, a Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen one Monday evening in Denver, CO, is recovered in less than a half hour thanks to local police with help from the LoJack® system.

On December 2nd, 2013, the Jeep’s owners contacted Denver Police to report the crime. The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Grand Cherokee, which was installed at Medved Chevrolet in Wheat Ridge, CO.

A short while later, Denver PD officers picked up homing signals from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers quickly tracked and located the Jeep on Bannock Street, where it was parked and abandoned. The Grand Cherokee was recovered and soon returned to its very grateful owners.
