When a dealership in Plano, TX was the victim of vehicle theft, the LoJack® system installed in the stolen Acura MDX came to their rescue. With LoJack’s assistance, the SUV was recovered by local police in just over an hour after activation.

On December 5th, 2013, the dealership reported the incident to Plano Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the MDX, which was installed at Inskip Acura in Warwick, RI, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, officers from the Dallas Police picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Acura to Royal Lane, where they found it parked and abandoned. The undamaged MDX was recovered and soon returned to the relieved dealership.
