Early one recent Monday morning, the owners of a Honda Accord stopped to get gas in La Vergne, TN, and unfortunately had their vehicle stolen. The LoJack® system these victims had installed when purchasing their Accord proved its worth by helping local law enforcement retrieve the car that very same day.

On December 9th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the La Vergne Police Department to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at CarMax in Stockbridge, GA.

A short while later, officers from the Metro Nashville PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicles. They located the Honda parked behind a private residence in the Metro area. A juvenile at the scene admitted to the theft and was taken into custody. The undamaged Accord was recovered and soon returned to its grateful owners.
