The Walnut Creek, CA resident in this case discovered his Acura Integra missing from his driveway around 8 am on a Wednesday morning.  Thanks to the LoJack® system he had installed when purchasing his vehicle, local police were able to recover it in just an hour and a half after activation.

On December 4th, 2013, the Acura’s owner contacted the Walnut Creek Police to report the incident. Officers verified the crime information and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Integra, which was installed at Oakland Acura in Oakland, CA.

A short while later, California Highway Patrol Aviation Air-37 picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with its onboard LoJack tracking computer. The flight crew contacted Contra Costa Auto Theft Force on the ground Officers and directed them to a parking lot in Concord, where the Acura was parked and unoccupied. After a brief surveillance, two suspects entered the vehicle. They were both taken into custody, and both were later revealed to be on parole for Auto Theft. The undamaged Integra was soon returned to its relieved owner.
