Early on a frigid Saturday morning in Thornton, CO, the owners of a Honda Accord discovered their car had been stolen overnight. Despite the cold weather, the early hour, and the fact that it was a weekend, the LoJack® system installed in the Accord was ready to work. With LoJack’s help, local law enforcement recovered the vehicle before lunch time that same day.

On December 7th, 2013, the Honda’s owners contacted Thornton Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Honda of Pasadena, CA.

A short while later, a deputy from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and a Corporal from the Colorado State Patrol both picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the Honda to a residential area in Westminster where it was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged Accord was soon returned to its very thankful owners.
