The Lake Park, Florida resident in this case returned home from grocery shopping one Saturday night and went straight to bed. She must have been really tired because it wasn’t until the next day that she realized she had left the keys in her Toyota Yaris, and, unfortunately, the car and keys were gone by then. What the thieves didn’t know is that hidden inside the Yaris was the LoJack® system, the only stolen vehicle system that works in conjunction with your local police so your stolen car, truck, van or motorcycle is recovered quickly and safely.

On October 13th, 2013, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to report their vehicle stolen. The responding officer verified the theft and entered the car’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Yaris, which was installed at Palm Beach Toyota in West Palm Beach, FL.

A short while later,   West Palm Beach PD officers picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The Toyota was located parked and abandoned on Ware Drive in West Palm Beach. The undamaged Yaris was recovered and soon returned to its very grateful owner.
