The LoJack® System Helps Taunton, Massachusetts Police Recover Stolen Toyota RAV4 in 12 Minutes

What a shock to look out the window in the wee hours of the morning and find your vehicle gone. When this unfortunate event happened to these Toyota RAV4 owners in Brockton, MA, they were glad they chose to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their SUV. Their local police, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover the RAV4 in just 12 minutes after activation.

On October 6th, 2013, the Toyota’s owner contacted the Brockton Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the RAV4, which was installed at Copeland Toyota in Brockton, MA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, Taunton PD officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Toyota near Floral and Cherry Streets in Taunton, where it was found parked and abandoned. The undamaged RAV4 was retrieved and quickly returned to its thankful owner.
