While the owners of the 2011 Honda Accord LX in this case were at the gym, working out, an evildoer in the parking lot was taking off with their car. Thanks to the LoJack® system the owners had installed when purchasing their vehicle, it wasn’t gone for long. With LoJack’s help, local police recovered the Accord in just over one hour after activation.

On October 29th, 2013, the Honda’s owners contacted Saugus Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Accord LX, which was installed at Herb Chambers Honda in Boston, MA.

A short while later, officers from the Malden PD began picking up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Honda to Main Street, where they found it parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Accord was retrieved and soon returned to its relieved owners.
