The owner of the Dodge Ram in this case discovered that his truck was missing at lunch time on a recent Tuesday. Thanks to the efforts of local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system, the pickup was recovered before dinner.

On November 26th, 2013, the Dodge’s owner reported the crime to Roseville Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the California Stolen Vehicle System as well as the NCIC national system. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Ram, which was installed at Redlands Auto Center in Redlands, CA.

Later that afternoon, officers with the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department and the Sacramento PD began to receive the homing signal from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Dodge to the area of 47th Street and Wire Ave where they found it parked and abandoned on the street. The Ram was retrieved and soon returned to its very relieved owner.
