On a recent Sunday afternoon, these Taylorsville, UT residents discovered their Honda Accord missing from their driveway. The LoJack® system installed when the car was purchased came to the rescue, helping local police recover it in less than three hours after activation.

On November 24th, 2013, the Honda’s owner immediately contacted the Unified Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle into the state and national stolen vehicle computers. This procedure automatically active the LoJack device concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Herb Chambers Honda in Boston, MA.

A short while later, an officer with the Salt Lake City PD began picking up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracing computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The Honda was found parked and unoccupied in a motel lot. After a brief surveillance, an adult male got into the car and was quickly taken into custody. The Civic was soon returned to its relieved owners.
