A Baytown, TX resident discovered that his Chevrolet Silverado was missing from his driveway on a recent Sunday. This victim had the foresight to have the LoJack® system installed when he bought his pickup, so local law enforcement retrieved it for him quickly and safely.

On November 15th, 2013, the Chevy’s owner contacted the Baytown Police Department to report the missing truck. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Silverado, which was installed at Ron Craft Chevrolet Cadillac in Baytown, TX.

A short while later, a constable from Harris County Precinct 3 picked up the homing signal from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The constable tracked the Chevy to the parking lot of a small apartment building, where he found it parked and abandoned. The Silverado was recovered and soon returned to its very relieved owner.
