The LoJack® System Helps Los Angeles Law Enforcement Recover Stolen Toyota Sequoia in One Hour, 23 Minutes

When an estranged family member stole their Toyota Sequoia, the victims wanted to get their vehicle back quickly and safely. Their local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system installed when the SUV was purchased, made their hope a reality by recovering it in less than 90 minutes after activation.

On November 24th, 2013, the Toyota’s owners contacted police to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit hidden on the Sequoia, which was installed at Power Toyota in Cerritos,CA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, local officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Toyota to the owner’s residence, where it was parked. The suspect was on site and taken into custody. The owners were very pleased to have their Sequoia returned to them.
