Time is of the essence when it comes to recovering a stolen vehicle. The faster it’s recovered, the less chance there is that the thief will either strip or damage it. The LoJack® system is an essential tool in helping police recover a stolen car, truck, van or motorcycle quickly and safely. In this case, a Honda Accord taken in Allentown, PA is found in less than 45 minutes after activation.

On November 19th, 2013, the Honda’s owners contacted Allentown Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the Pennsylvania State Police Computer. The LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Herb Chambers Honda in Burlington, MA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, members of the Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their undercover police vehicles. The investigators tracked the LoJack signal to 2nd and Ester Streets where the Honda was parked and unoccupied. The Civic was recovered and soon returned to its very relieved owners.
