After working hard all day, the last thing this Texas resident needed was to find her Cadillac Escalade missing from her employer’s parking lot. It’s a sure bet that she was glad she chose to have the LoJack® system installed when she purchased her SUV. The local police, with help from LoJack, were able to recover her vehicle in just over two hours after activation.

On November 13th, 2013, the Cadillac’s contacted the Garland Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Escalade, which was installed at Crest Auto Group in Plano, TX.

A short while later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Cadillac to an apartment complex, where they found it parked and abandoned in the adjacent lot.  The original license plates had been replaced, which might have stopped a visual search, but did not deter LoJack. The Escalade was recovered and soon returned to its thankful owner.
