It was just after midnight on a Friday when the owner of a Jaguar S-type discovered his vehicle missing from an Atlanta, GA public parking lot. Thanks to the LoJack® system the victim had installed when buying his car, local police, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover it that same morning.

On November 15th, 2013, the Jag’s owner reported the incident to the Atlanta Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the S-type, which was installed at Nalley Jaguar in Roswell, GA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an Atlanta PD helicopter picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed onboard. The flight crew tracked the Jag to a shopping area parking lot and requested ground assistance. The ground officer located the vehicle with two passengers who appeared intoxicated. The two were taken into custody and the S-type was soon returned to its happy owner.
