The LoJack® system’s goal is to help law enforcement retrieve stolen cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles quickly and safely. In this case, police in Oklahoma recover a missing Honda Accord in less than two hours after activation.

On November 14th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Leesburg Honda in Leesburg, VA, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, several deputies with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signal from the stolen car with the LoJack police tracking computers installed in their patrol cars. The deputies tracked the Honda to an area near NE 18th and Prospect in Oklahoma City, where they found it parked and abandoned behind a vacant house. The Accord was soon returned to its thankful owner.
