The owners of this Dodge Durango got an unpleasant surprise when they discovered their SUV had been stolen overnight from their home in North Salt Lake City, UT. The LoJack® system installed in their vehicle came to the rescue, helping local police recover the Durango in less than two hours after activation.

On September 25th, 2013, the Dodge’s owner contacted the North Salt Lake City Police to report the crime.  Officers verified the theft, and entered the vehicle information into the state and national Stolen Vehicle System. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Durango, which was installed at Dodgeland USA in Las Vegas, NV.

A short while later, an officer with the Salt Lake City PD began picking up the homing signal from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tacking computer installed in his patrol car.  The officer tracked the Durango and found it parked and abandoned. The undamaged Dodge was soon returned to its relieved owners.
