When the victim in this case discovered his Acura Integra missing from his driveway, he knew just what to do- call police and report the theft, so officers could activate the LoJack® system hidden inside the Integra, which helped them recover the car in less than 45 minutes after activation.

On October 29th, 2013, the Acura’s owner reported the crime to the Seattle Police Department. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Integra, which was installed at Sierra Acura in Alhambra, CA.

A short while later, several law enforcement agencies in King County received the homing signal transmitting from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol cars.  King County Sheriff’s deputies tracked it to Interurban Avenue South in Tukwila where a juvenile was observed in the Acura.  He was taken into custody and booked into jail.  The Integra was soon returned to its grateful owner, who told police this was the second time his vehicle had been stolen and recovered by police using LoJack.
