A Noble, OK resident got a terrible scare on Halloween night when he discovered his Ford F-150 was stolen from his driveway. The victim’s fright soon took flight thanks to his local police who, assisted by the LoJack® system, were able to recover his truck in just over two and a half hours after activation.

On October 31st, 2013, the Ford’s owner contacted the Noble Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the F-150, which was installed at Champion Ford in Houston, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, several deputies with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signal from the stolen pickup with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol cars. The deputies tracked the Ford to the area of SW 15th and MacArthur in Oklahoma City, and found the pickup in a mobile home park, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged F-150 was soon returned to its grateful owner.
