It’s a scary thing to wake up in the middle of the night and find your vehicle missing. Just ask the Adams County, CO residents in this case, who had this experience recently with their Honda Accord. The LoJack® system installed in their car eased their fright by helping local police recover it quickly and safely.

On October 27th, 2013, the Honda’s owners reported the crime to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers.  This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Crown Honda in Pinellas Park, FL.

A short while later, officers with both the Denver and Auraria Police Departments picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the vehicle to a grocery store lot on of North Speer Blvd, where they found the Honda parked and abandoned. The Accord’s owners were very grateful to have their vehicle returned to them.
