Rapid recovery of stolen vehicles is one of the hallmarks of the LoJack® system.  Sometimes, while in the process of recovering a LoJack protected car, truck, van or motorcycle, other machines or items that were taken will be recovered as well.  In this case, Mesa, AZ police recover a Ford F-350 in just over a half hour after activation, and find a second missing pickup at the same location.

On October 22nd, 2013, the Ford’s owner called the police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the truck’s information into the NCIC police computer. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the F-350, which was installed at Sanderson Ford in Phoenix, AZ.

A few minutes later, a Mesa PD flight crew began picking up the homing signal from the stolen truck with the LoJack tracking computer installed in their helicopter. The air crew tracked the Ford to an apartment complex parking lot. They alerted ground officers who located the F350 parked next to another stolen pickup. One suspect was arrested at the scene and the Ford was soon returned to its relieved owner.
