When this Warr Acres, OK business had a 2012 Carry-On cargo trailer stolen, they knew it had been a good decision to protect the vehicle with the LoJack® system. Three branches of local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover the trailer in less than three hours after activation.

On October 11th, 2013, the trailer’s owner contacted the Warr Acres Police Department to report the trailer had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the trailer information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the trailer.

A short while later, officers with the Oklahoma City PD and deputies with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signal from the stolen trailer with the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol cars. As it was obvious the trailer was on the move, the deputies requested assistance from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Air Support Unit. The pilot directed the ground units to the area of 15th and S. Meridian where the trailer being pulled by a pickup. The truck was stopped and two suspects were taken into custody. The trailer was soon released to the relieved business owner.
