Very early one Tuesday morning, these Deerfield Beach, FL residents got an unpleasant surprise when they discovered their 2013 Infiniti G37 missing from their condominium parking lot. It’s a good thing that these victims chose to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their vehicle just seven months ago, because local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover the car in just 18 minutes after activation.

On October 8th, 2013, the Infiniti’s owners contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to report their vehicle stolen. Officers prepared a stolen vehicle report and theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the G37, which was installed at Infiniti of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, FL, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputy picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The deputy, along with their backup, located the Infiniti parked and abandoned in an apartment complex lot near Commercial Boulevard and State Road 7. The undamaged G37 was soon returned to its happy owners.
